Scary, that’s what that is … It’s all the fault of the Puzzle Doctor and Mrs P, who six years ago provided such good examples of delivering accessible and enjoyable crime fiction blogs that I had to give it a go too … I’m glad to say that they are both still hard at it while other blogs (and sadly, even some bloggers), are no longer with us. I am now having to slow down as I reach middle age, which is a shame – but happens to the best of us! But I regret nothing and have made a lot of new friends through Fedora and that has been incredibly rewarding, so thanks so much for stopping by. I hope to continue for a little bit longer.
Rather than dwell on the past – which this blog does on a rather regular basis, let’s face it – here beneath you will find a quick look at some of the books and movies I hope to review in the near future (the first will be The Getaway, in about a week), a mixture of old and new, well-known and obscure … just the way I like it! I hope you do too …

Six Years, that is an accomplishment. Happy Bloggiversary, and I hope you keep blogging as long as you enjoy it. You know I have learned a lot from your posts, on films and crime fiction novels and lists of favorites. I look forward to reviews on those books above. Especially THE GETAWAY and SS-GB (because both are on my shelves to read).
Thanks Tracy – time is always the enemy here but I hope to be around for a bit longer, even if a bit less often. Really looking forward to to posting on SS-GB, in anticipation of the screening of the 5-part BBC miniseries, which is due on our screens fairly soon.
Oh no, that means I need to read that book soon, because the miniseries will eventually get here and we will want to see it. Glen has already read it, a few years back. That could work out well, since I recently read THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE.

Sergio – Here’s to six and six more! – Thanks for the photo list. A few are new to me. There are great old ones, too – Thompson, Greene, McBain. And I need to see “Il Giorno Della Civetta.” Italian crime films of the 1960s and 1970s are a favorite genre. And this one stars Claudia Cardinale. Yeah, definitely have to see it.
Thanks Elgin – Leonardo Sciascia’s Civetta (aka Day of the Owl) is an important book about the mafia that still resonates and, for once, the movie doesn’t let it down. Thanks for the good wishes and sticking around. Back to blogging in a week or so …
