2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 190,000 times in 2013. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 8 days for that many people to see it.

  1. Sergio, to say I’m impressed is merely stating the obvious, but I really am. Many congratulations, and wish you all the very best of life and blogging in 2014!

  2. Colin says:

Sergio, those statistics are phenomenal, something to be very proud of. Of course your content here is excellent and you’re nothing if not genial, but still. Mighty impressive.
I hope 2014 brings more great posts and conversation. Happy New Year!

  3. Thanks for listing all the old chestnuts and for your work in putting them together.

  4. Jeff Flugel says:

Wow, those are some mighty impressive stats, Sergio! But no surprise, really, as you continue to post excellent stuff week in and week out. Kudos on a great year, mate – and wishing you all the best for 2014!

  5. Margot Kinberg says:

Sergio – I am truly impressed. Now you can see in data form just how terrific your blog is. I’d like to add just one statistic: Why visitors come here. The answer? Because it’s an excellent with lots of thoughtful and well-written reviews. And because it’s written by an excellent person. That’s why. Happy 2014!

  6. Kelly says:

Well, that’s a neat trick! Happy New Year, and may next year bring you page views equal to a whole month at the Louvre.

  7. Todd Mason says:

I’m only sorry I didn’t drive more traffic your way…we have similar stats for the year, which surprises me, but I think we’re both (among many others) out to provide value for (no) money…

  8. TracyK says:

That was a great report, Sergio. You can see that I am one of your biggest fans. And your lists are excellent, thoughtful and well-done. My husband and I have bought (or rented, but usually bought) a lot of movies at your suggestion.

    • Thanks so much – it wouldn’t be the same without you TracyK! The stats are a bit bizarre frankly but part of the fun – really look forward to seeing what we all come up with in 2014! Happy new year.

  9. Yeah, I got one of these too, although my Louvre-days were half of yours. Congrats, Sergio, and Happy New Year

  10. scott says:

Happy New Year, see you in ’14
